During traditional weddings the congregation (the guests) may sing certain hymns related to marriage. Alternatively, a soloist may be chosen to sing a song with special meaning for the bride and groom.
This creates a great opportunity for the flower girl and ring bearer to be seated as well as for the entire wedding party and minister to "take their places".
